Preparing for the final steps in Cork
On May 22nd and 23rd, the TinyBrains Consortium gathered in Cork, Ireland, for the project’s final General Assembly before its official ending at the end of June.
After four and a half years of collaborative research, partners prepare to close the project and reflect on its achievements.
BioPixS hosted the meeting at the Tyndall National Institute. Over the two days, the team discussed the latest data collected during the final stages of the project, reviewed the content of the remaining deliverables, and explored the potential future of TinyBrain’s innovations. Conversations focused on the possible use of the developed prototypes in clinical environments and their application in other types of studies and research contexts.
“It’s been a real pleasure to welcome and host TinyBrains partners in Cork for this final CGA”, comments BioPixS co-founder and CEO Sanathana Konugolu. “Meeting in person enables in-depth technical discussions and expands the range of social interactions in a way which is not possible to achieve online, and this can be certainly considered an added value to the project and the collaboration.” BioPixS CTO Claudia Guadagno adds, “From a more personal point of view, it gives a chance to spend quality time with some special people whom this project allowed us to meet. Therefore, we would like to thank you all for the efforts and fruitful discussions for the TinyBrains project and for every joke and smile that brightened those days.”
As TinyBrains nears completion, the Cork meeting provided a final opportunity to align on how these outcomes could continue to support innovation in neonatal healthcare.
