TinyBrain’s fall Consortium General Assembly discusses and assesses the project’s progress

The TinyBrains team meets for its fall Consortium General Assembly in Barcelona to discuss and assess the project’s progress, with one and a half more years, before its completion.

The meeting took place over two days, with the first day hosted at the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital. During the morning session, each work package leader provided comprehensive summaries of the ongoing work and outlined the planned next steps in their respective areas.

So far, two prototypes have already been developed and tested in preclinical and clinical studies. While they will continue to gather data until the end of the project, two more prototypes are currently under development. BioPixS also presented their latest product, an fNIRS phantom developed partly thanks to their work in the TinyBrains context.

In the afternoon, discussions shifted towards debating the projects’ exploitation, technical details and clinical aspects. The team also visited the simulation room at the hospital and finished the day with a social dinner in the nearby neighbourhood of Pedralbes.
